About Pittsburg, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Pittsburg, Texas is a city found in Camp County, and it also serves as the county seat. Approximately 4,500 people reside in this community, which is known as home to racing legend Carroll Shelby. Located in the northeastern part of the state, Pittsburg is approximately 120 miles northeast of Dallas and 100 miles northwest of Shreveport, Louisiana.
There are many interesting things to see and do in Pittsburg. The Northeast Texas Rural Heritage center consists of two different facilities: the Farmstead Museum and the Depot Museum. To promote tourism, the city has joined with Pt. Pleasant and Mt. Vernon to create the “Trail of Three Cities Scenic Driving Tour”, and many visitors also enjoy a trip to Witness Park and Prayer Tower. There are several golf courses in the region, including the Princedale Country Club in Pittsburg, and both visitors and residents alike with young children might like to stop at splash pad found at Fair Park.
Pittsburg is found in a humid subtropical climate, and the area is known for its long, hot summers. Average daily highs remain in the 90s from June through August, and these high temperatures often extend into the autumn months. Many Pittsburg residents spend more time indoors during this season, and a central air conditioner will help them to stay cool regardless of outdoor thermostat readings.
Despite Pittsburg’s location in the Deep South, it is also important to invest in a proper home heating system. Many residents choose a gas or electric furnace in order to stay warm, although others may select a heat pump to provide both heating and cooling functions. While snowfall is minimal and the season is mild overall, there are many days each season in which temperatures fall below freezing. The right climate control will keep indoor conditions warm while preventing pipework from freeze damage.
